In lieu of appearing in court, please consider the following options:

• You can meet with the court clerk before your court date via phone or in-person at City Hall, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Please call ahead to confirm availability. If you appear before the court clerk and please guilty or no contest, you may qualify for a fine reduction based on your driving record.
• If you wish to make a payment in full, you may call the court to pay over the phone, leave a payment in a sealed envelope in the drop box at City Hall, or send by postal mail (check/money order) to: Banks Municipal Court, 13680 NW Main Street, Banks, OR 97106.  If you wish to set up a payment plan, please call the court for next steps.
• You can mail in a plea and payment. Sign and date the back of your citation, checking the option to mail in a letter to the judge. Include a signed letter of explanation with your plea and payment, and the judge may consider a reduction of the fine. Any refund will be mailed to you.
• If you wish to plead Not Guilty, this is a request for a trial at a later date. Please contact the court for paperwork.
