Volunteers needed for the City of Banks Park, Recreation and Tree Board

The City of Banks is accepting applications from persons interested in filling a position on the City of Banks Park, Recreation and Tree Board

The Park, Recreation and Tree Board consists of 5 members. The term for appointed members is 2 years. Park, Recreation and Tree Board meetings are held the quarterly (August/November/February/May) on 3rd Tuesday of the month. The members of the Park, Recreation and Tree Board shall receive no compensation for their services as members of the Park, Recreation and Tree Board. The Park, Recreation and Tree Board serves in an advisory role and makes recommendations to the Mayor, City Council, and City Manager regarding the acquisition, design, development, maintenance and promotion of the Log Cabin Park & Greenville City Park, the planting, removal, and care of trees in the City Parks, and in public right of ways, and conducts activities for Arbor Day, National Night Out, Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, and other special events during the year.
