April Cannon

Councilor Cannon is honored to serve as City Councilor for Position #2 in the City of Banks. A resident since early 2023, Councilor Cannon brings a background in project management, energy efficiency, and community engagement. She currently works as a Project Manager and Business Development Lead at ASK Energy, Inc., and serves on several energy-related boards, including as Secretary for the Northwest Strategic Energy Management Chapter and Co-Chair for the AESP Women in Energy.

Originally from Southern Indiana, Councilor Cannon and her spouse Stephen chose Banks as their home along with their blended family—bonus daughter Amaiya and their three dogs: Bear, Hardy Joe, and Forest Whitaker. They were drawn to the city’s charm, warmth, and strong sense of community.

Councilor Cannon is committed to fostering transparency, collaboration, and inclusive decision-making. She believes in leading with empathy, honesty, equity, and hope, and is excited to help guide the city’s growth while listening to the voices of its residents.

 

 

 

Councilor Cannon serves as the City of Banks primary liaison to the following:

  • Community Participation Organization 14 (CPO-14)
  • Washington County Consolidated Communications Agency (WCCCA)
