Mayor Jones grew up in Aloha, graduating from Hillsboro High School. She began volunteering in high school as an Outdoor School Counselor.
She served on the City Council from 2016-2020. She serves o the Policy Advisory Board for the Washington County Office for Community Development, the Washington County Coordinating Committee, and fills in for other committees as needed. She represents Banks at the Washington County Mayor's meetings, and is a member of the Oregon Mayors Association.
Mayor Jones is the director of the Northwest Science Expo, which is the state science fair for 5th - 12th grade students. She received her Masters of Science from Portland State University, and Bachelor of Arts at Western Oregon University. Both degrees are related to secondary science education.
Mayor Jones is also a member of the Friends of the Banks Library, and is currently serving as president.
Mayor Jones wants to create a stronger sense of community through community volunteerism, to find a balance between small town values and future growth and to be prepared for the unexpected.
Mayor Jones is married, has two children and three cats. She enjoys reading, traveling, power tools, and walking. If you see her out walking, feel free to join in.
